The Main Department for Combating Cybercrime of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs has suppressed the activities of a criminal group that illegally organized online betting and gambling through the banned platforms 1xBet and MostBet.

As reported by FinFly.News citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the organizers - brothers Zaur and Fuad Narimanov, as well as their accomplices Orkhan Huseynov, Zaur Shirinov, and Emin Mammadov - have been detained.

The investigation established that the criminals rented an apartment in the Khatai district of Baku, where they placed employees, providing them with equipment, bank cards, and phones. Through the Telegram channel 'AzeCash', they attracted citizens to participate in illegal gambling. The total turnover of funds amounted to 10 million manats, and the money obtained was legalized in various ways.

A criminal case has been initiated on these facts. All defendants have been charged, and the court has chosen preventive measures, including arrest.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned citizens that participation in illegal online games entails criminal or administrative liability.
