Investment in Azerbaijan’s information and communications sector reached 376.5 million manats in January–September, up 57.3% in real terms, according to Digital Development Ministry figures published on October 26.
Sector revenue totalled 3.257 billion manats, a real increase of 11.1%. The sector represented 2% of GDP and 2.9% of non-oil and gas GDP.
Investment is growing considerably faster than current revenue. This signals expanding capital spending, but does not establish the returns on individual projects.
