On October 17, the AWS Agentic Football Cup will take place in Baku. The event is organized by AWS User Group Baku with support from Azercell. During the tournament, participants will form football teams controlled by artificial intelligence, develop game strategies and test them in virtual matches. This format will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with AI agents and cloud technologies.
The tournament differs from traditional technology events. Each football team will consist of five virtual players controlled by separate AI agents — programs capable of analyzing the game situation and making decisions independently. Participants will develop player behavior algorithms, define team tactics and deploy the prepared programs on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform.
During matches, the virtual footballers will act autonomously, without human intervention. AI agents will choose positions on the field, make passes, build defense and attack, and take shots on goal. By analyzing game results, participants will be able to improve their teams' programs and strategies.

The tournament will serve as an effective platform for exchanging experience and developing practical skills among students, engineers and novice developers. By supporting the initiative, Azercell contributes to the development of knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence, the practical application of cloud technologies and the strengthening of Azerbaijan's technology community.
