The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has launched a project to apply artificial intelligence to enhance infrastructure resilience and adaptation, with Azerbaijan's participation.
The project involves member countries of the bank, including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and other states in the Asia-Pacific region.
According to ADB, the project is financed with $800,000 from the Technical Assistance Special Fund.
"The project also aims to strengthen the capacity of ADB's developing member countries to identify, assess, and reduce disaster-related risks. Its implementation is expected to indirectly contribute to protecting poor and vulnerable groups, who disproportionately suffer from the consequences of natural and other disasters. The initiative is expected to leverage artificial intelligence to improve infrastructure resilience and refine approaches to risk adaptation," the bank said.
