REDMAGIC has detailed the global version of its 12 Pro gaming phone. It combines Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 with an 8,400 mAh battery and supports wireless charging at up to 80 W.
One change from the 11 Pro concerns heat during long gaming sessions. Liquid circulates across the chipset and battery with the help of a micropump; a fan helps carry heat away. The company compares the new cooling design with its predecessor but does not provide an independent sustained-gaming test in its announcement.
Players using a cable can also switch to bypass power. Rather than charging the battery while a game runs, the handset draws power from the external supply. The feature is distinct from fast charging: it is designed for use while plugged in.
