Apple on 28 October introduced a MacBook Pro with a PROLED XDR display, bringing touch input to the laptop for the first time.
The panel uses tandem OLED technology. Apple specifies peak SDR brightness of up to 2,000 nits and ProMotion adaptive refresh rates from 10Hz to 120Hz. P3 and Adobe RGB colour-space support targets professional workflows.
Touch input complements the keyboard and trackpad. Brightness and colour-performance specifications are manufacturer claims; independent assessment of display quality and usability will require testing the finished device.
