The value of notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in circulation exceeded 1.5 billion manats for the first time since October 26, 2023.
According to the regulator, on August 27 the total value of notes increased by 82.5 million manats compared to August 26, reaching 1 billion 525 million manats.
Since September 1, 2022, the CBA has been implementing a new monetary policy. Under this policy, in addition to 28-day notes, 84-, 168-, and 252-day notes were also issued. Currently, their annual yields are 5.9%, 6.01%, 6.1%, and 6.21%, respectively.
