Households in Uzbekistan's non-gasified and remote areas can use up to 350 kWh of electricity a month during the heating season at the basic tariff of 550 soums per kWh, Uzbek media reported on November 3.
The higher allowance applies from October to February in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, and from November to February elsewhere.
The baseline for gasified areas remains 200 kWh. The measure is covered by government resolution No. 601, dated October 31 and effective from November 1.
