Uzbekistan's microfinance institutions hold combined assets of UZS 21.75 trillion, according to an official central bank announcement.
The review covers 142 institutions. Assets exceed UZS 10 billion at 86 of them, which together hold UZS 21.54 trillion, or approximately 99% of the total.
Net loans at that group of 86 institutions amount to UZS 19.35 trillion. This is a subgroup measure and should not be substituted for the loan book of the entire sector. The figures indicate concentration above the stated asset threshold; the number of institutions alone does not establish customer reach or credit quality.
