Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Rashad Mammadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan. The parties reviewed the dynamics of bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
"Special attention was paid to the preparation of bilateral documents aimed at further expanding trade and investment cooperation, including a 'Roadmap' for the implementation of reached agreements and a Program to increase mutual trade turnover to $1 billion by 2030," the statement said.
According to the Uzbek side, in 2025 trade turnover between the countries reached $307.3 million (+14.6%), and in January–June 2026 it amounted to $170.3 million (+30.8%). The meeting also discussed organizational issues of the IV Uzbek-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum, which will be held on August 22 in Tashkent and will serve as a platform for expanding direct contacts between regions and businesses of the two countries.
Following the meeting, further steps were identified to boost trade, promote investment projects, and develop interregional ties.
