Azerbaijan projects subsistence minimum of AZN 359 by 2030

Azerbaijan's subsistence minimum is projected to reach AZN 359 by 2030, Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Alekperov said during budget discussions, according to local media.

The path comprises AZN 314 in 2027, AZN 329 in 2028, AZN 344 in 2029 and AZN 359 in 2030. The nominal difference between the first and last years is AZN 45.

The outlook extends beyond the previously presented 2027 figure. Forecasts for 2028-2030 do not amount to legally approved rates for each of those years. The subsistence minimum is also distinct from the minimum wage, pension levels and individual social benefit payments.
