The TRIPP initiative (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) is capable of strengthening regional ties and supporting trade and investment in the medium term. This is reported by S&P Global Ratings on Armenia.

"Although the framework agreement (on TRIPP - ed.) establishes the basic principles of governance and sovereignty within the project, its implementation is at an early stage: the project area, financing issues, and exact concession terms are still subject to final agreement," the agency's analysts note.

S&P also believes that the results of the parliamentary elections in Armenia could give new impetus to the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and bring the signing and implementation of a peace treaty closer.

"In 2025, Armenia and Azerbaijan initialed the text of the peace treaty, but its signing and implementation still depend on the fulfillment of a number of conditions. According to experts, after the completion of the electoral cycle, the prospects for further progress on the formalization of the agreement may improve," S&P Global Ratings notes.

The agency also believes that further normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan could stimulate transit and trade in the region.
