The Southern Gas Corridor CJSC (SGC) closed 2025 with a net profit of $1 billion 630.854 million, down 4.7% compared to 2024.
As reported by FinFly.News citing the company's financial report, revenue in 2025 decreased by 8.1% to $2.99 billion, cost of sales amounted to $680.461 million (-3.5%), and operating profit was $2 billion 986.204 million (-12.2%). Profit before tax fell by 4.7% to $1.79 billion.
Financial expenses in 2025 amounted to $268.111 million (-31.3%), and income tax payments were $158.984 million (-4.3%).
SGC's assets as of January 1 of this year totaled $14 billion 615.443 million (+8.2%). Current assets increased by 40.2% to $4.9 billion, while non-current assets decreased by 2.9% to $9.7 billion.
The company's liabilities increased by 1.4% to $5 billion 511.79 million, and equity capital grew by 12.8% to $9 billion 103.653 million.
The Southern Gas Corridor CJSC was established by presidential decree No. 287 dated February 25, 2014. The company was registered on March 31, 2014, in accordance with Azerbaijani legislation. As of December 31, 2025, 51% of the company's shares are owned by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), and the remaining 49% are owned by the state, represented by the Ministry of Economy.
Additionally, on January 31, 2026, a sale and purchase agreement was signed with XRG for a certain part of the state-owned non-controlling interest in Canub Qaz Dehlizi CJSC.
SGC CJSC was established to consolidate, manage, and finance state interests in the full-scale development of the Shah Deniz gas condensate field, the expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), and the implementation of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) projects.
