SOCAR produced 1.697 billion cubic metres of gas in July-September 2026, down 12.8% from a year earlier, according to quarterly company figures reported by Report news agency on November 2.
Azerbaijan's national production for the same period was 12.473 billion cubic metres, down 3.6%. That is a separate measure covering more than SOCAR's own output.
The comparison concerns the third quarter, not the first nine months. Company and national statistics have different reporting boundaries.
A change in production does not automatically imply an identical change in exports or revenue. Domestic deliveries, export volumes and realised prices would need to be examined separately.
