Russia's Direct Investment in Azerbaijan Up 1.8 Times

In the first six months of 2026, the volume of foreign direct investment from the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan amounted to $237.119 million.

According to FinFly calculations based on data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), this is $107.392 million, or 1.8 times, more compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the share of investment from Russia in the total volume of foreign direct investment in Azerbaijan was 6.5 percent.

In the first six months of 2025, the total volume of foreign direct investment from Russia to Azerbaijan was $129.727 million.

Moreover, in the first half of this year, the volume of foreign direct investment from Azerbaijan to Russia amounted to $22.488 million. This means a decrease of $5.850 million, or 20.6 percent, compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the share of investment from Azerbaijan to Russia in the total volume of foreign direct investment from Azerbaijan was 0.4 percent.
