As of August 1, 2026, the number of active enterprises and organizations in Uzbekistan reached 601,276, reflecting the continued expansion of the country's entrepreneurial base and the recovery of business activity after a decline in the number of active enterprises in previous years.
This is stated in a statement by the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan. According to previously published data from the committee, during 2026 the number of active enterprises and organizations increased, reaching 577,200 as of April 1 and 580,900 as of May 1.
The largest number of active entities was registered in the trade sector — 164,481 enterprises. This is followed by agriculture, forestry and fisheries — 131,925, industry — 63,861, and construction — 33,463. Other major categories include services, accommodation and food services, information and communication, as well as healthcare and social services.
