Kyrgyzstan proposes creating a single electronic trading platform for Central Asia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on October 8 during the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in Avaza.
"I propose instructing our governments, on the basis of the already adopted industrial cooperation plans, to identify specific mutually beneficial projects, indicating participants, funding sources and implementation timelines. Second — support and development of e-commerce, which is one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the global economy. Our citizens actively use international electronic trading platforms to purchase goods from third countries. In this regard, we propose creating a single electronic trading platform for Central Asia and Azerbaijan. Thus, we will ensure broader access for consumers and businesses to goods produced in the countries of the region," he said.
Japarov noted that over the past four years, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan has almost doubled and by the end of 2025 amounted to 3.5 billion US dollars.
"The volume of investments in our country from five states in 2025 exceeded 140 million US dollars. Strong good-neighborliness between our countries should be expanded through sustainable economic ties. One of the key directions of the national development program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030 is industrialization. In this regard, it seems necessary to make efforts so that the growth of mutual trade is accompanied by the creation of new production facilities, jobs and an increase in the output of high value-added products," he said.
Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan consistently advocates strengthening Central Asia as a space of peace, trust and good-neighborliness.
