In Kyrgyzstan, the growth of key economic indicators continued in January-July 2026. According to preliminary estimates, the gross domestic product amounted to 1,172.7 billion soms, which is 11.1% more than in the same period of 2025. This was reported by the Press Service of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Positive dynamics were also noted in industry. The volume of industrial production amounted to 525.3 billion soms, with a physical volume index of 111.2% compared to January-July 2025. Growth was driven by increases in the production of food products (by 2.4%), basic metals (by 8.5%), pharmaceutical products (by 13.0%), construction materials (by 33.6%), wood and paper products (by 37.5%), vehicles (by 41.8%), refined petroleum products (by 1.8 times), chemical products (by 2.9 times), as well as mining and quarrying (by 16.9%).
In construction, volumes increased by 1.6 times, in wholesale and retail trade by 4.0%, and in agriculture by 6.0%.
The increase in consumer prices and tariffs in January-July 2026 compared to December 2025 was 6.7%. Prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 5.9%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 7.1%, non-food products by 5.1%, and service tariffs by 10.1%.
The maximum price increase (14.9%) was recorded in Osh Oblast, where food products rose by 11.9%, alcohol and tobacco by 21.4%, non-food products by 10.6%, and services by 23.8%.
The volume of external and mutual trade in goods in January-June 2026 amounted to $7.9 billion, an increase of 1.4% compared to the same period in 2025. Mutual trade with the EAEU amounted to $3.0 billion, down 0.1%. Exports decreased by 5.3%, while imports grew by 1.1%. The largest share of mutual trade was with Russia (67.1%) and Kazakhstan (30.6%).
Thus, Kyrgyzstan's economy maintained high growth rates thanks to industry, construction, trade, and agriculture. At the same time, the rise in consumer prices and tariffs remains a key factor affecting the economic situation.
