Kazakhstan to Increase Oil Exports via BTC by 31% in 2026

Kazakhstan considers the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), Baku-Supsa, and transit via the Caspian through Azerbaijan as additional routes for oil exports amid the unstable operation of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). This was stated by the Ministry of Energy of the republic.

Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) plans to increase oil exports via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in 2026 by 31% compared to 2025, to 1.7 million tons.

The volume of Kazakh oil transshipped through the port of Aktau towards the BTC pipeline in January-June 2026 amounted to 704,000 tons.

The pipeline is 1,768 km long and has a capacity of over 50 million tons of oil per year.
