Inward transfers through money-transfer systems reached AZN 148.1 million in September. Transaction count was almost unchanged while average value rose to AZN 670.
Average size drove the increase
In CBA Table 4.9, inward transfers rose from AZN 133.06 million to AZN 148.13 million, about 11.3%. Count remained near 221,000 transactions: 221,220 in August and 221,120 in September.
Average value increased from AZN 601.48 to AZN 669.94, explaining the larger total with stable transaction volume. The figures do not establish whether recipient numbers grew; one person can receive several transfers.

Outward transfers increased too
Outward value reached AZN 41.55 million, against AZN 38.09 million in August. Count rose from 51,550 to 59,640, while the average declined from AZN 738.96 to AZN 696.63.
The September inward-outward difference was AZN 106.59 million. This is the balance for this channel, not all national cross-border transfers. July inward value exceeded September’s, so the monthly increase alone does not establish sustained acceleration.
| Measure | August | September |
|---|---|---|
| Inward, AZN million | 133.06 | 148.13 |
| Outward, AZN million | 38.09 | 41.55 |
| Average inward, AZN | 601.48 | 669.94 |
| Average outward, AZN | 738.96 | 696.63 |
The limits of the measure
The series covers money-transfer systems, including Azerpost according to the CBA note. It does not replace the balance of payments or automatically include every bank transfer.
Higher inward amounts may support household spending, but the purpose of funds is not disclosed. The supported conclusion is channel-specific: average incoming transfers became larger in September and inward value remained substantially above outward value.
