A ministerial meeting on the green energy corridor linking Azerbaijan with Europe is being prepared in Bucharest for late November, Green Energy Corridor Power Company said in an update on its board meeting.

Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary are involved in the project. Preparations include further investor engagement and steps towards financial close.

The planned meeting does not establish that all financing has been secured or that commercial electricity transmission has begun. An exact meeting date was not given in the reported information. The Black Sea route is also distinct from the separate Trans-Caspian initiative involving Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
