A fire completely destroyed the Wildberries logistics center after a Ukrainian drone attack on Kotovsk in the night of August 26, with two people injured, said the head of the Tambov region, Evgeny Pervyshov.
"Two people were injured - a 19-year-old young man suffered a concussion, and a 49-year-old woman has a fractured finger. They are receiving the necessary medical care," Pervyshov wrote.
He noted that 13 drones were destroyed by air defense forces, and another three strike drones were shot down by mobile fire groups "BARS-Tambov".
"Unfortunately, three drones managed to strike the warehouse building," Pervyshov clarified.
The regional head noted that casualties and a large number of injured were avoided thanks to timely evacuation and the clear work of all services, including the municipality.
Earlier, Pervyshov reported that in Kotovsk, as a result of a drone strike, a fire broke out at the Wildberries logistics center, with the fire area reaching 100,000 square meters. An early evacuation was carried out at the warehouse. According to the company, no new deliveries of goods were being accepted at the facility.
The current attack on the Wildberries facility in Kotovsk is the second. As reported, on the night of July 18, after a drone attack on the logistics center, seven Wildberries warehouse employees were killed and 25 more were injured.
