As of August 1 of this year, credit investments in the Karabakh economic region amounted to AZN 576.016 million. According to calculations by FinFly.News based on the statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, this figure exceeds the indicator for the same period last year by AZN 66.5 million, or 13 percent.

During the reporting period, the average interest rate on credit investments in the region was 19.73 percent. Of the loans placed in the region, AZN 575.830 million were in national currency, and AZN 186 thousand were in freely convertible currency (FCC).

At the same time, as of August 1 of this year, credit investments in the Eastern Zangezur economic region increased by AZN 22.2 million, or 2.7 times, compared to the same period last year, reaching AZN 35.129 million. The average interest rate for this indicator was 13.62 percent. Of the loans placed in the region, AZN 26.280 million were in national currency, and AZN 8.849 million were in FCC.

Thus, during this period, the total volume of credit investments in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions reached AZN 611.145 million, indicating growth of AZN 88.7 million, or 17 percent, year-on-year.
