The TV channel noted that "this is slightly more than on Wednesday, when nine ships crossed the strait, but still does not confirm repeated statements by US President Donald Trump this week that the strait is open and under the control of the United States."
According to CNN, nine of the 13 ships on Thursday followed a route approved by Iran, despite US warnings to ships not to use it.
