The implementation of the Soyudlu and Ortakend projects will bring about 1.28 million ounces of additional gold reserves into production, significantly increasing gold output and exports in Azerbaijan. This was stated by Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC.

According to him, the Soyudlu gold deposit development project will be the first to start in 2028. Its operational life will be 9 years, the resource is 1.03 million ounces, the economic value is 7.5 billion manats, and the required investment is 425 million manats.

"The second project is the development of the Ortakend gold deposit in Nakhchivan. Its launch is planned for 2029. The deposit's resource is 246,000 ounces, the project's economic value is 1.8 billion manats, and the investment is 255 million manats. Both projects will be financed through AzerGold's own and borrowed funds," Ibrahimov noted.
