Azerbaijan's Remittance Balance Up 74.1%

In January–August 2026, Azerbaijan's remittance balance amounted to $751 million, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) reported.

According to the information, this is 74.1% more than in the same period last year.

External sector indicators remain favorable. According to customs statistics, in January–August 2026, Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus was $10.4 billion.

Due to rising global energy prices, as well as positive dynamics in exports of non-oil goods and services, the CBA may revise upward its forecast for the current account surplus at the end of 2026.
