Azerbaijan proposes raising its subsistence minimum to AZN 314

Azerbaijan’s monthly subsistence minimum would rise from AZN 300 to AZN 314 under a proposal in the 2027 budget package before parliament. Local media reported the figures from the draft.

The proposed monthly thresholds are AZN 334 for people of working age, AZN 258 for pensioners and AZN 274 for children.

The 2026 law sets the respective amounts at AZN 317, AZN 245 and AZN 260. The working-age group would see the largest increase in manat terms, at AZN 17. The proposed figures would apply from January 1 if the law is adopted.
