In January-August of this year, Azerbaijan produced a gross domestic product (GDP) of 87 billion 709.5 million manats. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

According to the information, this figure is 1.2 percent higher than in the same period last year.

Over the past year, the value of the country's oil and gas GDP decreased by 0.8 percent, amounting to 26 billion 181.9 million manats. At the same time, the value of non-oil and gas GDP increased by 2.1 percent, reaching 61 billion 527.6 million manats.

During the reporting period, the total value of industrial production in Azerbaijan decreased by 0.4 percent year-on-year, amounting to 44 billion 620.3 million manats. The total value of production in the non-oil and gas industry increased by 5.4 percent, amounting to 14 billion 605.9 million manats. Agricultural production grew by 2.6 percent, totaling 10 billion 57.4 million manats. Services in transport and warehousing increased by 8.7 percent, reaching 10 billion 931.9 million manats, while information and communication services grew by 10.7 percent, totaling 2 billion 748.1 million manats.
