Azerbaijan is receiving appeals and requests from many countries to export the oil products it produces to those countries, President Ilham Aliyev said at the 8th congress of the New Azerbaijan Party.
"We completed all the work on time. Our potential today — I mean only oil products — is 30 million tonnes. Of that, 7 million tonnes are processed at the refinery in Azerbaijan, and 23 million tonnes abroad. This is what we did on time," he said.
The head of state added that Azerbaijan built one plant from scratch and acquired two plants.
"Today, there are not many countries that possess 30 million tonnes of oil products — and not in one place, but in three. Therefore, I repeat, given that, unfortunately, the wars around us do not stop — we would very much like them to stop, but they do not — demand for our products and our gas will increase even more," he emphasized.
