ASMC opened a metal products plant in Agdam Industrial Park on November 7. The two-phase project is valued at AZN 24.9 million.
The AZN 8.8 million first phase combines private funding with nearly AZN 4.7 million in bank lending subsidised by Azerbaijan's Business Development Fund. A further AZN 16.1 million is planned for phase two.
Products will include steel mesh, wire and nails for domestic sales and export. Local production can reduce delivery costs for reconstruction projects in Karabakh. The plant currently employs 26 people, with 100 permanent jobs planned at full operation.
