On 16 October 2026, Baku will host the International Risk Management Forum. The event is organized by ABB Bank, with partner support from Mastercard.
The forum will bring together leaders of the financial sector, representatives of regulatory bodies, local risk management specialists and international experts.
The main goal of the event is to create conditions for the exchange of knowledge and experience amid a changing global risk landscape. The forum will serve as a platform for professional discussion of topical issues, including geopolitical and macroeconomic challenges, regulatory changes, cybersecurity, operational resilience and other significant topics.
Participants will discuss effective risk management and enhancing resilience amid global uncertainty and a rapidly changing economic situation. Special attention is planned to be given to the opportunities and risks associated with the development of artificial intelligence, new approaches to countering cybercrime and financial fraud, as well as the management of digital assets and investment risks.
The focus will also be on the prospects for developing the risk management function in the banking sector, issues of the safe adoption of innovative technologies, strategic decision-making and the formation of mechanisms for rapid response to emerging risks.
