The Moscow Exchange plans to begin trading perpetual futures on Bitcoin and Ethereum in September, said Maria Patrikeeva, Managing Director of the Derivatives Market at the exchange.

Futures tied to cryptocurrency prices appeared on the Moscow Exchange in the summer of 2025. Currently, qualified investors have access to futures (quarterly or monthly) on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Ripple, and Tron.

"We plan to expand this line and eventually bring the number of coins to ten. In addition, we plan to launch perpetual futures on these underlying assets. In September, we will launch the first two perpetual futures on Bitcoin and Ether indices," Patrikeeva said at a seminar for journalists called "Media Days."

In the near future, the Moscow Exchange also intends to launch perpetual futures on about 20 foreign stocks. "On the most popular underlying assets - Amazon, AMD, Tesla, Netflix, and others," Patrikeeva said.

She reminded that this year the Moscow Exchange's derivatives market has already introduced 34 new instruments. "We plan to launch about 30 more by the end of the year," concluded the Managing Director of the Derivatives Market.

Perpetual futures are one-day contracts that have no fixed expiration date and are automatically rolled over to the next trading day.
