Crypto entrepreneur and blogger Woo has released a chart showing the dynamics of search queries since the early 2010s. According to him, he waited a year for the right moment to publish this data.
Woo believes that when the number of queries about Bitcoin reaches record levels, it is not worth buying the first cryptocurrency — that is exactly when it hits its price peak. He also assured that the dynamics are not affected by either the fascination with neural network-based chatbots or the outflow of part of the audience from the world's largest search engine.
"All of you who say 'no one uses Google anymore' don't understand how the search engine's trend metrics work. It's a percentage of total search queries, meaning a decline in Google usage does not affect the trend indicator," Woo wrote.
In the summer, the businessman claimed that Bitcoin's price stagnation would last 10–12 years, and the first cryptocurrency could get a "sharp surge of momentum" in about 16 years. Over the past week, Bitcoin's value has hardly changed: the asset continues to hold just above $82,000.
