Anchorpoint, a venture involving Standard Chartered and Animoca Brands, is preparing a retail version of its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin without setting a firm launch date, Blockzeit reports, citing the South China Morning Post.
CEO Dominic Maffei said the company would not rush the rollout to meet a deadline. Intended uses include everyday payments and commercial transactions.
Retail expansion remains a plan. The announcement does not mean the product is already available to all consumers.
