Iranian military officials have said they will deliver a powerful response to recent US strikes, the Mehr news agency reported on Tuesday, citing the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) command.
"In response to American air aggression against areas in Sistan and Baluchestan, as well as Hormozgan, the armed forces of Iran will inflict crushing blows on the cowardly and malicious American enemy," the statement said.
Earlier on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump said the United States was conducting powerful and large-scale strikes against Iran.
