Iran has informed Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator, of its position and conditions for resolving the conflict with the US. This was reported by Tasnim, citing an informed source.
It is worth noting that the day before, Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, visited Iran, where he met with high-ranking officials of the country.
According to the source, in the context of the negotiations, it became clear that all parties are committed to a diplomatic resolution of the issue. "No aggressive messages were conveyed from the US side," the report says.
He added that Iran has communicated to the Pakistani side its position on resolving the conflict, putting forward as one of the main conditions the return of the US to the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, including point 5, which concerns the Strait of Hormuz.
"The Pakistani side is trying to convey this to the American side," the source noted.
Earlier, the official representative of the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Majed al-Ansari, stated that there is no progress in the negotiations between the US and Iran.
