Emin Agalarov issued a statement regarding the tragedy at the Sea Breeze recreation center that led to the death of a minor child.
Agalarov shared information about the incident on his personal social media page.
"A child died as a result of a tragic incident on the territory of the aqua park in Sea Breeze.
On my own behalf and on behalf of the entire Sea Breeze team, I express my deepest and most sincere condolences to the family. There are no words that could ease the pain of parents and loved ones at such a moment.
An investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident, including the reasons for the child's entry into the technical zone of the pool, where water pumps operate behind fences.
For our part, we are fully cooperating with the investigation.
The safety of children and adults has always been and remains an absolute priority and commitment for Sea Breeze. All zones and facilities of the resort are regularly inspected by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and relevant services. The aqua park has been operating for its third season and has welcomed more than 350,000 guests during this time.
In connection with the incident, all safety measures will be additionally rechecked and strengthened.
The Sea Breeze team and I personally will provide the family with all necessary support and assistance," the statement said.
Recall that, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the day before, information was received on the hotline "112" that a child's leg had become stuck in a water pump in the pool at the Sea Breeze recreation center, located in the village of Nardaran, Sabunchu district, Baku.
In connection with the information, forces of the Special Risk Rescue Service and the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, despite the prompt measures taken by rescuers and the ambulance team, including resuscitation efforts, the life of Abdullayev Akif Javid oglu, born in 2022, could not be saved.
An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the relevant authorities.
