"We will win, we have no other choice," Netanyahu said about the US-Israeli war against Iran. He called the decision to start the conflict "one of the easiest" in his life. "If we hadn't done it, we would all be dead," the politician continued. "One day the Iranian people will be free, and that day may not be far off."
The Israeli prime minister rejected accusations of genocide against the residents of the Gaza Strip, stating that "Israel prevented genocide" by launching a war against the terrorist group Hamas. Netanyahu separately criticized New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of antisemitism and attempting to disrupt his visit to the UN. "You will not be able to silence me," the Israeli politician said. Mamdani himself has already commented on Netanyahu's speech, repeating the genocide accusations and recalling the arrest warrant issued against him by the court in The Hague.
Earlier, Mamdani had called for protests against Netanyahu's visit. Ultimately, during the Israeli prime minister's speech, pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered around the UN building complex in New York, including politicians close to Mamdani. According to police, about 100 people were detained at the action. The mayor himself did not attend the protest.
