Four employees of Gazprom Armenia CJSC and one representative of the Inspection Body for Urban Planning, Technical and Fire Safety of Armenia have been arrested in a case involving alleged violations in connecting new buildings to gas supply. This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia.

The court chose arrest as a preventive measure for four defendants. Another person was placed under house arrest.

The investigation concerns cases of bribery for issuing positive conclusions on facilities where violations were committed during the organization of gas supply.

"The criminal proceedings concern cases of bribery for issuing positive conclusions on gas supply to new buildings, despite violations committed," the committee said.
