According to data in a statistical bulletin published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, in May of this year, 189.7 million manats (246,600 transactions) were received by banks through fast money transfer systems.
Compared to May of the previous year, the number of transactions decreased by 53,900 or 17.9%, while the volume of funds received increased by 32.6 million manats or 20.7%.
During the reporting period, the average amount per transfer was 769.2 manats, which is 246.5 manats or 47.2% higher than the figure for May 2025.
It should be noted that according to the bank's data, as of the end of May, the number of payment cards in circulation through the banking system and LLC "Azerpost" increased by 309,000 compared to the previous month, reaching 22,827,000 cards.
