A complete power outage has been recorded in all cities of Georgia.
Due to a large-scale failure in the power system, the Tbilisi metro has completely stopped operating. Train service across the country has also been suspended. Electricity is absent in all populated areas of the republic.
This incident is already the third case of a large-scale power outage in Georgia in the last two weeks. Information about the causes of the incident and the timeline for restoring power supply is currently being clarified.
According to the company 'State Electric System', the cause of the failure was tests that were conducted after the accidents that occurred on July 24–25. To check the equipment of the station, specialists launched the power system in an isolated mode at non-standard frequencies. These actions provoked a temporary cessation of power supply in all regions of the country.
