As reported by FinFly, the main focus of the meetings was on further expanding investment and trade-economic cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Laziz Kudratov met with Qatar's Minister of State for Trade and Industry Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, and also held talks with heads of leading financial and industrial organizations in the country. Among them were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al Thani, representative of the Free Zones Agency; Fahad Al-Sulaiti, head of the Qatar Fund for Development; Mohammed Saif Al-Suwaidi, head of the Qatar Investment Agency; Abdulrahman bin Hesham Al-Suwaidi, head of the Development Bank; and Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Jabor Al Thani, head of the Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company.
Following the negotiations with Qatari business circles, the parties reached agreements on implementing new joint projects.
Investments are planned to be directed into seven priority sectors of Uzbekistan's economy, including transport infrastructure, education, logistics, chemical industry, energy, agriculture, and tourism.
Responsible managers have been appointed for each area to prepare bilateral roadmaps and ensure the timely implementation of the outlined initiatives.
