President Donald Trump announced on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara that he has ordered Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to halt all trade with Spain.

According to the US leader, he made this decision because he considers Spain a terrible NATO partner.

Earlier, in March, Spanish authorities stated that the US would not be allowed to use joint military bases on Spanish territory for operations against Iran. Additionally, Madrid closed its airspace to American aircraft involved in the military campaign.
