The volume of oil and gas condensate transported via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in January–June 2026 amounted to about 97 million barrels, which is 8.5% less than in the same period last year.

As reported by FinFly.News, this is stated in the BP-Azerbaijan report on the results of operations in the first half of 2026.

During the reporting period, oil was loaded onto 131 tankers at the Ceyhan port.

Project costs for BTC increased by 46.7% to $132 million. Operating expenses rose by 25% to $75 million, while capital expenditures increased 1.9 times to $57 million.

Since the pipeline was commissioned in June 2006 through the end of the first half of 2026, about 631 million tons of oil and condensate, or over 4.7 billion barrels, have been transported via BTC to world markets. During this period, crude was loaded onto 6,276 tankers at the Ceyhan port.

Currently, BTC transports oil from the Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli block, condensate from the Shah Deniz field, SOCAR oil, as well as crude from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

The pipeline is 1,768 km long, with a capacity of over 50 million tons of oil per year.
