The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), as part of diversifying the feedstock base of the Black Sea Petroleum (BSP) refinery located in Georgia's Kulevi port, will ensure the transit of Kazakh oil to the enterprise, and in the future also Turkmen oil. This was stated at Black Sea Petroleum.

It is reported that the company does not plan to supply its own oil to the Kulevi refinery. At the same time, it will organize supplies of Kazakh oil and is ready to ensure the transit of oil from Turkmenistan.

Recall that in July, the BSP refinery processed Kazakh oil for the first time. From August 20 to 30, the first batch of oil from Libya is expected. In the first half of 2026, the refinery completed processing the remaining stocks of Russian oil and, after the EU adopted the 21st package of sanctions, began the process of completely abandoning Russian feedstock.

Currently, the annual capacity of the Kulevi refinery, Georgia's only oil refining enterprise, is 1.2 million tons. With stable feedstock supplies, the enterprise plans to increase production capacity to 4.5 million tons in the future.
