Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, speaking at a press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, stated that Azerbaijan's role is strategically important for Europe's energy security.

"Bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine are of a strategic nature. This applies both to projects already launched and implemented, and to prospects. This includes energy, infrastructure, and humanitarian cooperation. Azerbaijani business has always been actively present in Ukraine, and we would welcome further expansion of this presence. We have a package of proposals for our Azerbaijani friends. We are interested in diversifying energy supplies to Ukraine. Overall, I believe that Azerbaijan's role is of strategic importance for the whole of Europe in terms of energy security. Certainly, this is also important for Ukraine. We are actively working in this direction and are confident that we will achieve significant results," he said.

Sibiga noted that Ukraine sees huge potential for further strengthening mutually beneficial partnership with Azerbaijan.

Furthermore, he emphasized that Azerbaijan and Ukraine play an important role for each other in the context of interaction with the European Union.

"It is important for us to develop cooperation with the South Caucasus and Central Asia. We, I reiterate, are interested in developing this direction. Today we discussed how to further deepen this cooperation," added the Ukrainian Foreign Minister.
