A total of 211 students participated in the semifinals. During the competition, the automated grading system checked 2,339 solutions. As a result, 160 participants who scored 200 points or more advanced to the final. The final stage will be held on September 26, 2026, in an in-person format.
The Azercell Cup competition, now in its fifth consecutive year, helps develop programming skills, algorithmic thinking, and digital competencies among students in grades 6–7 of general education schools. One of the key objectives of the competition is also to identify talented students and further engage them in training programs for international olympiads in informatics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
