On the evening of July 5, a SOCAR gas station located in the Mykolaiv region came under attack. The strike caused an explosion on the premises of the filling station.
SOCAR Energy Ukraine confirmed the information, noting that three Shahed-type attack drones targeted the gas station located at 2A Odeska Street, Nechaiane village, Mykolaiv region. The administrative building of the gas station was damaged as a result of the strike.
The company emphasized that thanks to pre-emptive safety measures, strict adherence to instructions during air raid alerts, and the availability of a shelter, more severe consequences were avoided. During the attack, all employees were in the shelter, and there were no casualties.
It is noted that in recent days, Russian forces have been conducting massive airstrikes on gas stations in various regions of Ukraine.
Recall that last summer, explosions in the village of Berezyna, Zhytomyr region, caused serious damage to two gas stations operated by SOCAR Energy Ukraine.
