The stability of the Russian economy is assured, macroeconomic stability is absolutely assured, and it raises no doubts for anyone.
As FinFly reports, this was stated by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.
"Yes, the situation is extremely volatile on global energy markets, affecting all countries of the world, but at the same time there are no grounds for doubts about macroeconomic stability in our country at present."
He recalled that President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken about the stability of the domestic economy at economic meetings, and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has reported the same to him.
"As for the strong volatility in oil markets, yes, it is happening, and it in one way or another affects the entire world economy, the entire world economy. It also affects our economy. At the same time, although oil revenues certainly continue to be a significant contribution to the formation of our country's budget, the share of non-oil and gas revenues is growing," he added.
