Keychron has unveiled the V6 Ultra HE keyboard, which features a hybrid Nova Socket mounting system that allows users to simultaneously use mechanical and magnetic switches on a single board. For instance, users can install magnetic switches in the WASD block for quick response while leaving the rest of the keys in classic mechanical configuration.

In the V6 Ultra HE, magnetic switches operate based on TMR sensors. The keyboard is also available with pre-installed Keychron Ultra Fast Lime magnetic switches and Apex mechanical switches.

The keyboard supports wired connection with a polling rate of up to 8,000 Hz via USB, as well as 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.3. It comes with a removable battery.

The V6 Ultra HE integrates a web-based interface built on QMK, allowing users to customize the device.

The keycaps are made of double-shot PBT plastic, and the case is assembled using a gasket mount design with multiple layers of sound-dampening materials. The keyboard also supports layouts for macOS and Windows.

The V6 Ultra HE is priced between $109 and $199 and will be sold via Kickstarter.
